Return Policy – Haute Garments

At Haute Garments, we want you to love every piece you purchase from hautegarments.com. We understand that sometimes an item may not work out – perhaps the fit isn’t quite right, the style doesn’t suit you as expected, or you simply changed your mind. This Return Policy explains how you can return eligible items for a refund or exchange. Please read it carefully before initiating a return.

1. Return Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met:

  • The return request must be initiated within the time period stated on our website at the time of purchase (typically counted from the date you receive your order).
  • The item must be unused, unworn, unwashed, and in the same condition as you received it.
  • All original tags, labels, and hang tags must be attached and intact.
  • The item must be in its original packaging, including any dust bags, boxes, or brand-specific wrapping.
  • The item must not be from our list of non-returnable products (see section 2 below).

We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions. If an item is returned to us in an unsellable condition (such as stained, damaged, or missing tags), we will send it back to you and no refund will be issued.

2. Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene and safety reasons, the following categories of items cannot be returned:

  • Intimate apparel (including underwear, swimwear, and shapewear) if the protective seal or hygiene liner has been removed or broken.
  • Earrings and other pierced jewelry.
  • Face masks or any product that comes into direct contact with mucous membranes.
  • Gift cards or store credits.
  • Items marked as “Final Sale,” “Non-Returnable,” or “Clearance” on the product page at the time of purchase.

In addition, we cannot accept returns on custom-ordered or special-procurement items. Please check the product description carefully before placing an order for any of these categories.

3. How to Initiate a Return

To start a return, please follow these steps:

  2. Select the order containing the item you wish to return.
  3. Click the “Request Return” button next to the eligible item.

Do not send any item back to us before receiving a return authorization. Unauthorized returns may not be processed and will be sent back to you at your expense.

4. Condition of Returned Items

We take condition very seriously. Before shipping a return back to us, please ensure:

  • The item has not been worn (except for trying on).
  • There are no perfumes, deodorant marks, makeup stains, or pet hair on the item.
  • All original tags are attached in their original positions.
  • The item is folded neatly and packed securely to avoid damage during return transit.

If the item shows signs of use, damage, or missing tags, we may reject the return or issue only a partial refund. We recommend trying on items on a clean surface and keeping all packaging materials until you are certain you wish to keep the item.

5. Refund Process

Once we receive your return package, our team will inspect the item(s) within the time period stated on our website. If the return is approved:

  • A refund will be issued to your original payment method.
  • The refund amount will include the product price. Any original shipping charges are non‑refundable unless the return is due to our error (e.g., wrong item sent or defective product).
  • You will receive a confirmation email once the refund has been processed.

The time it takes for the refund to appear in your account depends on your payment provider. Typically, credit card refunds can take several business days to show up, while PayPal or digital wallet refunds may be faster.

6. Partial Refunds

A partial refund may be granted in the following situations:

7. Exchanges

If you wish to exchange an item for a different size, color, or style, the fastest way is to return the original item for a refund (following the process above) and place a new order separately. This ensures you secure the desired item before it sells out, especially for limited-edition pieces.

We do not offer direct exchanges in most cases because inventory on hautegarments.com changes quickly. However, if you have a specific exchange request, please contact us after submitting your return request. We will let you know if a direct exchange is possible based on current stock.

8. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If you receive an item that is damaged, has a manufacturing defect, or is not what you ordered (wrong size, color, or style), please contact us immediately upon discovery. In such cases:

  • You do not need to follow the standard return timeline. Contact us as soon as possible.
  • We will cover all necessary costs related to the return.

9. International Returns

13. Final Decision

14. Acceptance of This Policy

By making a purchase on hautegarments.com, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Return Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please do not make a purchase.
